About Jodi

Jodi has over 18 years of experience as an attorney.  Prior to 2012, Jodi practiced in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area.  Jodi’s career began with serving as an Assistant District Attorney for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office for six years.  As an Assistant District Attorney, Jodi was assigned to a special victims unit where she focused on cases involving sex crimes, child victims, domestic violence, and homicides.  She left the District Attorney’s office to enter private practice, where she spent the next eight years litigating cases at an Oklahoma City mid-size law firm.  As a Partner at that firm, Jodi supervised a team of attorneys focused on litigating employment and civil rights lawsuits.  During her many years of litigation practice, Jodi has had occasion to try over fifty cases to a jury and a multitude of trials to the Court, as well as multiple oral arguments before both the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.

In 2012, Jodi relocated to Colorado to pursue a practice focused on her passion, using her legal experience to help her clients strengthen and protect themselves and their families.  In light of her experience, Jodi is skilled in working with clients to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom, but is also prepared to fully litigate matters when needed.

At Martin Law Office LLC, Jodi has also focused her energy and legal experience on legal matters impacting the LGBTQ community, their allies, and individuals impacted by HIV.  Jodi also spends time working with local and national organizations in the pursuit of enhancing the lives of the LGBTQ community in Boulder, in Colorado and across the nation.

Jodi is currently serving a six-year term on 20th Judicial District Nominating Commission to which she was appointed by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Nancy E. Rice and Colorado Attorney General John Suthers.
